Railway Minister Kick-starts Works of 2 Development Projects in Mangaluru


Mangaluru: Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu kick started works of two development projects in Mangaluru Central Railway station through video conferencing here on Friday.

Under the two development projects, 1.5 kilometer long doubling work of Netravati - Mangaluru Central section is expected to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 28.3 crore whereas third foot over bridge will be constructed in Mangaluru central railway station at a cost of Rs 90 lakhs, the railway department sources said.

The ceremony organized to kick-start two projects was attended by Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor Kavita Sanil, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, senior officials from Indian Railways and others.
