Girls outshine boys for top spots in JKBOSE Class 12 exams.

With Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) declaring Class 12 results on Saturday evening, girls have again outshined boys as far as the top slots were concerned.

In total, 38,895 students appeared, out of which 19,906 have passed the exams with overall pass percentage which stood at 51%.

In Science stream two girls students were joint first, as Akanksha Gupta of Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School, Hiranagar and Tasavur Khanum of Springdales Higher Secondary School, Kathua secured 480 mark out of 500 with pass percentage of 96%.

In Commerce, Vanshika Gupta of Oriental Academy, Afghan Mohalla, Jammu was the sole winner by securing 478 marks with pass percentage of 95.6%. In Arts, Bandeep Kour of Manu Shiksha Kendra Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh was the first by securing 476 marks with pass percentage of 95.2%.

Also three boys were joint second in the Science as Lovish Mahajan of Oriental Accademy, Afghan Mohalla, Jammu and Satyam Mahajan of Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu and Surya Pratap Singh of Government SRML Higher Secondary School, Parade, Jammu secured 479 marks with pass percentage of 95.8%.

Two girls were joint second in the Commerce as Monika Angural of SP Higher Secondary School, Bari-Brahmana and Sanya Gandotra of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu secured 475 marks with pass percentage of 95%.

Both Anshika of Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School, Hiranagar and Sanket Khajuria of Little ANGLES Higher Secondary School, Kathua stood third in Science by securing 478 marks with pass percentage of 95.6%.

Three students, Abhijeet Singh Jamwal of Government SRML Higher Secondary School, Parade, Jammu, Bhrigu Sharma of Oriental Academy, Afghan Mohalla, Jammu and Mansi Charak of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu were fourth in Science by securing 477 marks with pass percentage of 95.4%.

Two students Jagbir Kaur of SP Higher Secondary School, Bari-Brahmana and Ritika Anand of Brahmrishi Bawra Shani vidya Peeth, Higher Secondary School, Udhampur stood fifth in Science by securing 477 marks with pass percentage of 95.2%.

Priya Choudhary of Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu with 94.8%, Priya Sharma of Oriental Academy, Afghan Mohalla, Jammu with 94.4%, Soalika Sharma of Mayfair Higher Secondary School, Chand Nagar, Jammu with pass percentage of 94% stood third, fourth and fifth respectively in Commerce stream.

Bharti Sharma of SP Higher Secondary School, Exchange Road, Jammu with 94.8%, Simran Gupta of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Jourian, Akhnoor with 94%, Farzana Batool with 93.6% and Avantika Rajput with 93% both students of SP Higher Secondary School, Exchange Road, Jammu stood second, third, fourth and fifth respectively in Arts stream.
