Sand mining issue: Protest meet to be held in Udupi on September 22



Udupi: In order to tackle the sand mining issue in Udupi district, 25 organisations came together to form a Horata Samithi to fight against the problem apolitically.

The decision to form a Horata Samithi was taken at a meeting held at Hotel Swadeshi on Tuesday and the first protest meeting to address the issue will be conducted in Udupi on 22nd September.

The Samithi members have urged the MLAs, ministers and district administration to conduct a meeting within a week to solve the problems.
