Days after armed robbery at Kateel, police nab 6 suspects
Mangaluru: Days after the armed robbery at Kateel, the police have managed to narrow down the suspects to six and they are currently in custody.
Eight people armed with lethal weapons robbed gold and cash from a house belonging to Vasudev Asranna, the chief priest and hereditary trustee of Kateel Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple. The worth of items robbed was estimated at about Rs 14 lakh.
The police questioned over 50 people and narrowed down their investigations to six suspects. However, the items stolen are yet to be recovered.
It is said that two people who knew the family were involved in the crime.
