Prohibitory orders in Mangaluru city limits extended till Nov 23


Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City police have decided to extend the prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC till November 23 after incidents of assault were reported from the communally sensitive pockets of Konaje and Ullal in the city.

Over the last one week several cases of stabbing, assaults and damage to religious centre have been reported from Konaje and Ullal police station limits.

The prohibitory orders was imposed in view of the Tipu Jayanti celebrations earlier this month and was later extended after four cases of attacks on youth belonging to different communities here were reported.
