CBI Court asks to reinvestigate sensational Sowjanya murder case
Ujire/ Bengaluru: A CBI special court on Friday has ordered to reinvestigate Sowjanya murder case as her father informed the court that there are serious errors found in the CBI charge sheet filed.
Ujire SDM college second PU student Sowjanya was found missing on October 09, 2012. Following her missing, victim’s father Chandrappa had filed a complaint with Belthangady police on her missing. Subsequently, her dead body was found half naked condition on the next day of her missing.
The sensational case was created huge public anger in Dakshina Kannada district and following the pressure from the people and members of the victim’s family the case was transferred to CBI. A CBI team filed its investigation report before the special court accusing 14 persons in connection to the murder.
The victim’s father found that charge sheet submitted accusing 14 persons has serious faults and informed the same to the court through his advocate. Responding to the appeal CBI has now ordered for a reinvestigation.
