VHP, BD protest against Minister Ramanath Rai for his take on RSS leader


Mangaluru: Activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a protest in Mangaluru on Monday against district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai after he urged the District Superintendent of Police to arrest RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat in wake of the recent communal clashes in Kalladka even though Bhat is innocent.

The Minister urging the officer has been captured in a video and has gone viral since.

The protesters blocked the roads at PVS Circle and shouted slogans against the minister demanding his immediate resignation. The activists also alleged that innocent people were arrested with regard to the recent communal clashes in Kalladka.

VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders including Sharan Pumpwell, Bhujanga Kulal and others were arrested.
