Zubair murder case: UT Khader warns Pharmacist


Ullal: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader condemned the brutal murder of Zubair at Mukkacheri near Ullal on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, UT Khader stated that "This news has shocked me Zubair was very dear to me. The police have started to investigate on this murder and the request people to co-operate with the police in their operation."

Minister Khader also said, "Zubair’s murder should not be politicized. Those who create fear among the people will be severely punished. A team including students, public and the police will be formed to curb the drug menace in the district. Measures will be taken to curb ganja and drug trafficking."

Minister Khader warned pharmacists as not to provide any unprescribed drugs or medicines. If any pharmacist is found guilty, the licence of such Pharmacies will be revoked".

BJP has announced a protest condemning the murder of Zubair, who they said was a member of the party. "Massive protests will be held near Thokkottu bus stand at 4 pm on October 6 condemning the killing of Zubair. The protest will be held against Congress misrule and incompetence of minister U T Khader," informed BJP Mangaluru president Santhosh Boliyar.

Zubair was murdered on the night of Wednesday outside a mosque at Mukkacheri near Ullal. He is survived by his mother, brother, wife, two daughters and four sons. The final rites were held at Mukkacheri mosque premises on Thursday afternoon.
