DMK opposes Navodayas

The DMK’s statement comes in the wake of recent orders by the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court to the state government to allow the opening of Navodaya schools in the state.

“The state government appealed against the high court order on the waiver of all farm loans; why has it not appealed against the opening of Navodaya schools here”, DMK working president M K Stalin said.

He also pointed out that as Hindi is compulsory, no teachers from Tamil Nadu will be appointed in these schools.
