ICC Champions Trophy: India to play warm-up matches vs New Zealand, Bangladesh.

Indian cricket team will prepare for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy with two warm-up matches in the days leading up to the tournament.

The Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team will take on New Zealand on May 28 (Sunday) and Bangladesh on May 30 (Tuesday) as part of the preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy.

Both of India’s matches will be played at The Oval in London.

A total of six warm-up matches will be played from May 26 to May 30, with all matches starting at 3pm IST.

Here is a list of the matches:

May 26: Australia vs Sri Lanka at The Oval in London

May 27: Bangladesh vs Pakistan at Edgbaston in Birmingham

May 28: India vs New Zealand at The Oval in London

May 29: Australia vs Pakistan at Edgbaston in Birmingham

May 30: New Zealand vs Sri Lanka at Edgbaston in Birmingham

May 30: India vs Bangladesh at The Oval in London

The tournament will begin on June 1 and end with the final on June 18. It is being hosted at three venues in the United Kingdom — The Oval in London and Edgbaston in Birmingham, both in England; and Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Wales.

India, placed no 4 in the ICC Rankings for ODI nations, will open their Group B campaign against Pakistan on June 4 at Edgbaston, followed by matches against Sri Lanka (June 8) and South Africa (June 11) at The Oval.

India opener KL Rahul recently revealed that his chances in playing the tournament are slim as he continues to recuperate from a shoulder injury.

Rahul sustained the injury during the opening match of the four-Test series between India and Australia but played through pain in the remaining matches.

He was ruled out of the ongoing 2017 Indian Premier League season because of the injury.
